UM ESTUDO COMPARADO ENTRE E NÃO SOBROU NENHUM, DE AGATHA CHRISTIE E HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, DE PETER NOWALK

Abstract

On September 22, 2016, the ABC television network released the third season of How to get away with murder, a crime drama series created by Peter Nowalk, and later that year, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine, Peter said he was great fan of Agatha Christie and that the third season of the series would be his version of And then there were none, a Christie's best-seller book. For this reason, from the theory of comparative literature and the precepts of intertextuality, since there is currently a great approximation between literary and audiovisual works, in the context of what is conventionally called interart studies, this article aims to propose a comparative study between the book And then there were none and how it is inserted into the narrative construction of the series by Peter Nowalk in his very personal version of Christie’s novel. As a theoretical foundation for the proposed study, we will use critical texts that address intertextuality and issues related to literature and cinema, such as Aguiar (2018), Chauvin (2017), Perrone-Moisés (1990), Carvalhal (1991, 2006), Clüver (2006), Gualda (2010), among others.
