RESIGNIFY LIFE BY THE STRANGER: A HERMENEUTIC AND POST-METAPHYSICAL APPROACH BASED ON RICHARD RORTY

The article recontextualizes philosophy as a way of life in contemporaneity. The (trans)formation of the human being in post-metaphysical thinking retakes the traditional attitude of ancient philosophy but pluralizing it and deflating it in its foundational character. Thus, our hermeneutic seam is weaved through the figure of the stranger, of strangeness and, more specifically, the foreigner as an interpretive-axis of this (trans)formative course of the psychic universe – in the first part of the article, strongly marked by the Rortian proposal – and the sociocultural universe – in the second part of this article –, where there is a broader dialogue with, above all, Derrida, Taylor and Honneth.
