Abstract

What is there to learn about the atypical, dystopian situation of a generalized disease, if not, perhaps, precisely, a new condition of thinking and a new image of thought? The set of key ideas that mark modernity and the contemporary, such as relativization, differentiality or divergence, dissolution and liquefaction, point of view and perspective, in short, this whole set of conceptions and situations that point to an alterity, which refers to a movement and an impermanence, an outside or a becoming, seem somehow suddenly hostage to the uniqueness of a macro or exclusive meta-event. Pandemic molarity is one of its most dire traits. Or was it rather rhizomatic? Finally, how to think about it, or perhaps a more demanding question, who should think about it, what new intellectuals is the moment demanding? Some clues can perhaps be found in the interview between Foucault and Deleuze, from April 1972, entitled The intellectuals and power.
