Vehicle electrification has been growing on a large scale, one of the stages of the electrification project is the verification of the vehicle's autonomy for differents urban and highways drive cycles. For this, it is necessary to determine the equation of the electric motor efficiency, as a function of the torque and speed values of the motor. This work has as objective to present a mathematical equation that describes the efficiency of an electric motor. The least squares method is used to determine the regression coefficients. The step by step of linear and polynomial regression is explained using the least squares method in applications that are part of the electrical engineer daily life.
