This review talks about the book “Catarse: um manifesto poético”, by John Barros. In the work in question, the author presents poems that go through different themes, sometimes weaving his verses in an intimate tone, sometimes in a more critical and direct way. As it is a poetic work, the formal and stylistic aspects presented here will be in second order, privileging the depth of the imagery constructed by the poet and the dynamics imposed by his lyrical subject.
