This review was written about the book “Education, School, Human Rights, Society... and Teaching: the self-training proposed”, by Ivan Fortunato, resulting from his thesis defended at the Nucleus for the Study of Diversities, Intolerances and Conflicts, from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo in the Doctorate course in Humanities, Rights and Other Legitimacies. The work deals with teacher training, education and school, contextualizing it with human rights and society, and is based on the idea of self-training as a possible path in search of more humanizing educational processes.
