The aim of this paper is to defend the existence of a concept of ideology in Marx's Capital. The hypothesis is that ideology in Marx and Engels is a form of knowledge (or form of consciousness) socially widespread that establishes guides to the actions of individuals, and so it can be argued that there is a concept of ideology also in critique of political economy by Marx. If the social reality generates a set of requirements among which are included the ideas, any set of affirmative beliefs of a certain reality can be considered ideologies.
