WHATSAPP E METODOLOGIA DO ENSINO DE INGLÊS NA PANDEMIA

This paper aims to evaluate how English Language Teaching Methodology students assessed their use of digital technologies, particularly Whatsapp, during the offering of the exceptional quarter of a semester under the Covid-19 pandemic at XXXXXXX University. The methodology is qualitative with the use of response data from the final self-evaluation of the course and content analysis done from patterns of reaction to the experience in the course. The overall result indicates a positive evaluation of the digital environment. Advantages and disadvantages of the use of Whatsapp in learning were also reported. The results are in line with studies in Applied Linguistics that show that students in teacher education tend to incorporate digital technologies to their practices with the integration of critical reflection with the use of technologies in their academic trajectories.
