A ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT OF THE TIMBÓ GRANDE POLE (IFSC) ON THE PERMANENCE AND SUCCESS OF MEDIOTEC PROGRAM STUDENTS

The article investigates how public management of Professional and Technological Education is associated with actions that may reflect in the management of student dropout. The study focuses on the performance of the management of the Timbó Grande pole of the Mediotec Program at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC). The article contextualizes: the Mediotec program, with emphasis on local pole management, the role of each agent involved in the development of this teaching modality, as well as an approach to the local manager 's attributions and the difficulties encountered. The methodology used for the development of the research was the field study, investigating the management paradigms facing the challenges, exemplifying the aggravating factors, which reflect on the permanence and success of the students. In conclusion, we present the situation of the impossibility of effective management actions for the scenario of the increasing number of evasions suffered, in the studied pole.
