This article aims to present a brief history of informatics and other technologies inserted in society and education. In this way, a study will be made of the CTS movement of education (science, technology and society), where the impact of new technologies will be presented in the consolidation of our society and in the training of the contemporary student. For this, there was a review of bibliographies and scientific articles that present the proposed theme, as well as a historical recovery of the main facts of informatics, science and technology that transformed our world and education. It is concluded that the use of technologies in a responsible way can build a meaningful education for students.
