The research with qualitative and quantitative approach has like empirical basis the static data of the information system georeferenced of CAPES (GEOCAPES) and of Union Budget Execution. The results indicate expressive expansion movement of the Graduate Course in the country with more accentuated indexes in North and Northeast regions, but also show still there high concentration in the south-southeast axis. About financing stands out the high budget reduction of CAPES from 2014 with substantial implications in maintenance of programs, specially about for financial aid for researchers and students.
