This paper aims to demonstrate that education, through its ontological commitment, leads to a better understanding of human participation in the production of the world. To do so, we start from the notion of " education of attention", by the British anthropologist Tim Ingold. From this assumption, the text takes the position that the fundamental concern of education needs to concern an ontological commitment to the world and to those who constitute it. It concludes that Ingold's thinking enables us to explore the ontological commitment of education by paying attention to a notion of education that is concerned with the continuity of life.
